Anyone selling some fine sandy substraight?

I was at Menards yesterday & found a pallet of white playsand. For $3 a bag it would be worth a vinegar test.

Put some vinegar on the sand, if it fizzes, you struck gold.

OT: Your black tang, is no longer black, it's Africanis Americanas :D

Here is a link to a Craigslist posting from April. This is the Southdown sand. I have seen a number of references to is as an acceptable sand for reef use on WetWebMedia.com.

sand

Actually... I should get a bag.

I used to buy southdown sand at HD. Not sure if they carry it anymore. They changed the name several times. Last time I bought it, it was called "caribean playsand".
That's too bad about the "white" sand at Menards on HWY 100 being silica.
