Anyone tried a Surface to run the 7096 software?

Can I use a Windows Surface to control a 7096? It has a USB 2.0 port. I'm just wondering if the software will run on the surface?

I might give that a try in the next few days. Never thought about using the Surface - always just used my laptop.

I am not sure if it will work. I do know we are working toward apps for Android and iOS. I would imagine the Surface would work if it uses Windows 8, it might not work with RT, that has not been tested.

I suspect RT won't work as you won't be able to install the drivers required for the chipset inside the controller.

Pro should work fine though - it is just a Windows 8 laptop.

Appreciate it if you could report back. I run a mac and it only supports a pretty crippled version of the control software. I have this ancient windows laptop that I use pretty much only to control the 7096 and it is very near death...

The software on all platforms will get a big update next year and the Android and iOS versions will be added. I don't own a Surface and neither does anyone I know so I would not be able to try this out, if it uses Windows 8 and has a USB port, it should work.
