Anyone try new Reef Brite XHO LED's?

Saw that Reef Brite now has the XHO model, and for a 36" tank size that I have, the 36" bar now has 30 3 watt LEDs, more than the standard Reef Brite 36" model which has 18. That's pretty intriguing, since the standard Reef Brites are pretty bright and create noticeable shimmer. Anyone seen how the new XHO's do? Couldn't find anything on you tube.

Was considering that one of those 50/50 Reef Brite XHO's, plus a 36" actinic Current True Lumen LED strip, might be enough for a 36" long tank, 18" deep. If need be, could add a True Lumen Fusion 50/50 bar if need be.

HERE is a thread of my Current LED Pro strips on a 80g tank (39x21x25)

HERE they are on my 110g.

I have just put all Reefbrite XHO's on my 120 and absolutely love them. The shimmer is great and the colors that pop when just the blues are on late in my lighting cycle is stunning!

I have a 48" XHO 50/50 and it does look noticeably brighter than my regular 50/50. They do get a bit hotter but that's to be expected cramming 50% more LEDs into the same fixture. I have one all blue and one 50/50 along with the 50/50 XHO.

ETA: the shimmer is crazy good.

Could I depend on one of these fixtures solely on my 40B? Trying to keep softies/LPS and maybe a few SPS near the top?

As long as you use enough of them I don't see why not. One is probably not gonna be enough for SPS.

Edit: are you asking if one RB is enough? I think bare minimum would be two XHO's and three or more ideal.

I have one xho all white with a regular output blue, on my 45 gallon. I think the combo looks very nice and bright and imo capable of growing sps.

I have one White, one Blue and 2 50/50s. I am considering adding another Blue.

On my 75 I have one XHO 50/50, one regular 50/50 and one regular Blue. So that's that's 30 White LEDs to 54 Blue's. It's not quite that ratio because the XHO LED's seem to be driven a wee bit brighter but with just the RB's on my tank is definitely on the Blue side of things but I also use two cool white 36W each LED PAR38's which have a bit of a yellowish cast for a midday sun effect and a much more neutral look to the overall cast of the tank.

Can you guys please recommend a combo for my 48x24x24 based on you experience

There are available in:

50/50
Actinic Blue
Daylight

Thanks

Does anyone have pictures of the different combinations they're using?
I would especially appreciate a picture of the 50/50 if possible.
