Anyone up for another 135 Thread?

Tyler, I need to stop making fun of your Valonia problem...a few just popped up in my tank...

I guess my water's good! :)

I forgot to tell you, you didn't miss anything with those Acan. Lordes. frags....trust....

I have no more valonia :D

Did you get some of the acans? Pics?

I still get some diatoms while we are on the topic of unwanted algae. I just cleared some up today. I hate them they are a really big pain in the neck to clear up.

I'll get hair algae that starts to form, but is often gone overnight...it's like the tank just balances itself out.

I always get diatoms...just wipe em off...

Tyley, the Acans were ugly, broken off, 3 heads of a pin sized frags...nothing special...trust me.

I took my money and dropped $80. on that huge almost 9x8x6.5 Millie colony...money well, and much better, spent...:D

Yeah I get them on the glass, and sometimes on the sand...if they don't go away on their own, they will get stringy, and then Larry will eat them

John that Mille colony is awesome, great piece. Any new shots of it?

Yay my sqaumosa has put on new shell growth! Who says you need to monitor Calcium when you can dose blindly and get great results and noo problems! LOL I need a test kit badly!

My tank doesn't want me to test...or maybe just God doesn't. Last time I tried testing, I sneezed, got a bloody nose, and bled all over the instructions  Go figure...haven't tested since.

Hey kind of like me. Don't have the money to buy a test kit. Glad I don't have clams though I wouold definatly get a test kit then. But hey if it works don't worry about it. I'm glad to hear that it is growing nicely

My camera sucks...i need a nice one.. but i would rather spend the money on a closed loop and more Acros.

Its getting a little irridescent green around its "eyes"
I may post later.

It's a samll one 2-3inches max

Ok, update.

I've got both 20Ls, and got a new colt coral...one that is mounted fully. Now all that is left is to order the pendants, so I can get rid of the canopy, so I can get the stand, and then we're set! Just plumbing after.

I have some shots that will be uploaded soon; I'm hiding the camera from my sister until she leaves (about an hour).

Best "full" tank shot I took:

Turn right, and this is what you see. The plumbing will come out of the back of the stand to the 20Ls, then drain back into the 55g under the 135g:

Everything's doing well. The monti has started to look good again, and the Devil's Hand is growing much faster. Everything's growing faster. The Frogspawn is a little bleached, but another head is coming to life. I will try moving it down and feeding it.

Which tank did you just take pics of, the 135 or the 55. But other than that everything is looking like its coming along nicely.

The 135, the 55 is the sump. I'm very bad at full tank shots.
The Capnella (I lied about a colt) was acclimating when I took those shots. It's in now, doing awesome, and to my surprise, there's two other corals on it...3-4 polyps of some nice zoanthids, and two mushrooms. For $10, I think I did well...I love our friendly CTARS :)

Ok so are you going to leave the 135 how it is or are you going to move the corals and some of the rock into the 20s

I'm leaving the 135 as is until the 20s are hooked up. Then the SPS will go into one 20, and the corals that I can't part with (Devil's Hand, Capnella, since they are awesome) will go into the other 20, which will be stocked as a mixed/anemone/clown tank. Then the xenia and the anthelia will stay in the 135 to work as nutrient export, along with chaeto, and various macroalgaes.

Sounds good to me I thinkthat this will turn out awesome and I bet that you'll like it. And one more thing where is Larry going

He will stay in the "fuge." I don't know why I still call it a fuge though, since I am putting corals in it. How about the "nutrient exporting softie/macro" tank. That's where Larry will stay. :D

Hopefully if I feed him well enough then he won't go after them. If he does, then I will keep the majority of the macro in the 55 underneath.
