Anyone use a Bubble Magus skimmer?

They are Chinese knock-offs of the Bubble King skimmers and have pretty good reviews here on RC. I'm looking to get a skimmer with an internal pump for space reasons, and these are a good deal cheaper than Bubble Kings and Bubble Masters.

The "higher end" Bubble Magus' even come with an Aquabee pump

J- I researched them before getting my skimmer, but ended up getting the octo nw 150-towards the end of the bubble magus owners thread(if you have not read please do)some of the owners were having various problems w/ various units-not sure if they cleared them up. Very happy w/ the octo but the pump is not internal. i9 was very close though-good prices!

I did browse the thread.. but at 50+ pages I missed the problems. Wonder if it was with the old Chinese pumps they used before switching to aquabees? Everyone seems to say the actual build quality is very good

yes I have been using a NAC6 for a couple months now..I have no complaints at all..

I did not do the mesh mod though..It seems alot that were not happy were so after modding the pump..Mine works awesome with no mesh mod

Thanks for the input! What size tank are you using it on? I was looking at the NAC7 (cone version of NAC6), but worried it would be undersized

right now it's on a 60 cube..I had it on a 30g for a wile and it still pulled much gunk..I like this unit

Have you checked out the write ups on SWC Xtreme Cone skimmer. Thats what im gonna upgrade to. A little more expensive but supposed to be way better.
