I was wondering if anyone used conductors on their returns? If so do you notice a big difference in flow? Just recently saw a diy thread on making them and its very cheap and easy to do and can supposedly increase your flow at least 2x.
i think they are called Eductors. they only downfall i see is the engery consuption on the back pressure they produce. and they would require a higher psi pump to run them to get the effect. i have not used them but know someone that has them and he removed them for a closed loop pump. aquatic eco has them here is the link.
I had some penductors, but never set them up and sold them a while ago. I think they were smaller than the eductors. They do require pressure pumps though.
I have (4) 1" Penductors on my returns run by a Sequence Barracuda. They push a serious amount of water but they also greatly decrease the amount of turnover in the system. They are better suited for CL type systems.
