Anyone use this auto top-off?

yes, Ive had mine for two weeks or so and its amazing, plumbed it right into my RO/DI system and put it on a timer, 15min at 6am and 6pm. works phenomenally well and has multiple fail safes. I'd definitely recommend it.

I feel like the nylon bolts may not be enough to keep the unit in place. The pressure from the float valve may gradually slide the unit upward.

Nylon bolts are plenty.

I use a JBJ and I have to say, I kinda want that kit now. I love the way you can adjust the valve up and down. With JBJ you have to go up or down in set increments, its very hard for specific sump levels. Luckily I was able to add a half in of water without have to redo baffles.

One more thing...I hate to say this, but its really not a great idea to hook your RODI directly to the tank. First if it fails you will have a massive flood and a crashed tank. Second, the first 15 - 20 minute of water produced from an RO unit is somewhat polluted. They are really meant to run for lengthy periods of time filling reservoirs and such as opposed to little spurts here and there.

I use just the float valve part with a container, gravity fed. It lasts a week and has worked perfect for many years.

I would have to agree with Ryan. The idea of having your RODI hooked directly to the display sounds great, but defeats the purpose of the thing. Just imagine if it failed while you're vacation for a few days.

Get a TDS meter and check.

When I turn mine on it's around 70-100 then drops to 0 over the first minute.
