Anyone use Underwater Camera?

I use a Canon G9 with an underwater housing. The camera isn't waterproof, but the housing is only a $175 investment. It's good to 130' depths (although I've probably only taken it to about 60').

These were taken in .jpg mode, before i really knew how to use the camera:

These were taken in .raw, just messing around in my tank:

I honestly wouldn't say that any of these are a real testament to the abilities of the camera, though. Just what I could scrounge up on a moment's notice.

Hope that helps,
Matt

If you check out the threads I've made, you'll see quite a few pics, and almost all have been taken with an olympus Stylus 725SW water-proof point and shoot. Obviously the detail only goes so far, and it's not on a tripod so my shakiness is impacting the pics, but I'm still very pleased with what it produces.

I use an old Olympus C770 with an PT-022 Underwater Housing. I also have an underwater flash which really makes a difference. Here are a few shots I have taken with it over the past. I am in the process of saving up for one for my DSLR now.

AWESOME.. ive been lookin into getting a waterproof camera.. on of the olympus.. want to go dslr but think im gonna stay cheap and get an underwater camera first

Both can get pretty expensive :(. If you click on the name and visit my webshots page you can see some of the trips I used with the camera. I tried the underwater disposable ones and they just did not cut it at all. Make sure you get a flash...they make a world of difference the deeper you go!
