Just pick up a container that has the media in a bag. Didn't come with instruction. Can i just put it in the sump or does it have to go into a mechanical filter?

Rinse it and toss it in the sump where it might get turned a bit. The more water flow going through it, the better.

thanks..would it hurt for them to print a little bit of info? Anyways how much to use? I bought the biggest bottle that says 1 unit.

I would be a little worried about the integrity of your product and the safety of your SPS. ChemiPure comes in a sealed plastic container with instructions all over it. How did you receive your ChemiPure??

I use chemi-pure elite regulary and every container I have ever puchased has a lable with instructions! Did you get regular chemi-pure? I have seen these packages and they have lables on them as well.

I see the instruction but it doesn't say how much to use. I got it from a LFS...So did you guys like the end result? Please provide feedback thanks

I've used it for years and it worked great but you can get the same result with much cheaper carbon. Chemipure is a little overpriced in my opinion.

I ran the Elite for a while and I ran it in my reactor with out the bag. Did its job just fine just to $$ over carbon and GFO.

What's everyone is talking about? I only paid $11 for it. Consider it may last 6 months like the manufacturer claims, which i doubt. But still it's not expensive at all. Carbon is rouhgly the same price if im not mistaken.

I use chemipure elite in a hagan power filter.it seems to work great.I have a pink birdsnest and acropora valida that are growing nicely.I have heard that some sps don't like it.I run it for the whole 6 months but turn it and rinse it about once a month.I can tell when I replace it my water is crystal clear.Probably could change it more often but haven't had any bad results this way.

just about ANY brand of carbon, from ANY supplier is a FRACTION of the cost of ChemiPure...as long as your not buying the smallest jar possible!

I found decent carbon, the kind that didn't leach phosphates as some cheap carbons do, reached adsorption capacity in about 3 days making further usage a waste of time.
IME, I found Chemipure more effective.....longer.
My experience may or may not justify the higher price for some users but if the world keeps pushing for lower pricing or lower cost to manufacture vs Quality Control we will see more disaster stories like the kind we have been reading about.
