Anyone using a wifi extender on their apex?

Hi. I am looking to buy a wifi extender for my apex. Will I only need one ethernet port? Also, should I get dual band or single? Does it matter with the apex?

Most of us are using this with our Apex to communicate to to a wireless remote.

But can't you just run a cable to your wireless router and that will give you wireless connectivity?

I wish I could but my wireless router is on the third floor, opposite side of the house. My tank is on the first floor. I think a ethernet to wireless would be the only way.

be carful....my netgear wireless extender does not work the way I wanted it to in my set up. My router is on my second floor opposite side of the house and my apex/sump is on the first floor. So there is about 60' between the sump and the router.

What I had to do was put the wireless extender about halfway down the house and hide it in the drop ceiling and then run a CAT6 cord to my apex by my sump.

Less than ideal for what I wanted but I gets the job done.

My router is on the second floor and the Apex is in the basement in my sump room. The item I linked to has absolutely no problem communicating with my Apex and separated by 2 floors.

This is not an extender. At least I do not think so.
