Anyone using Xaqua's Xinout?

Like the title says, wondering who out there on RC is using these and what you like/dislike about them.

I got to see one in action at MACNA and it was really cool- the 'pulse' effect wasn't quite as intense as some of the videos I've seen, but it still looked really neat. Hopefully you can get some more opinions, I don't see them being discussed much (I'm guessing because most American retailers don't carry them).

Thanks for the reply Johnny. AFAIK only place carries them in the US. I'm more interested in them due to their extremely small footprint, but the pulsing effect is definitely a nice bonus! I'm wondering how well the drain skims the surface compared to other methods with and overflow box, etc.

Fins Reef in US also sells them. Very interesting product definitely with a very small footprint. I heard it has no moving part in making the waves. A little pricy though.

I can't figure out the size holes necesary for this thing - no one has it on their site!

I just got one on Monday. I plan on driling the holes for it this weekend. I got the hole saws off of eBay. Here is the template I will be using.

Can I just check : in the template above : is the top line the Top of the tank or is it the water level ?

It is the top of the tank. The water line will be within the overflow cut out.
