first time i have seen the vid. but dont those people watch the discovery channel?? some show on there a few months back showed how tuff an octopus can be. they had one that ate a small shark, and another that won the battle with a moray eel. still awesome vid!!

Funny you say that, I just saw a video online the other day where a moray was ripping all the arms off an octopus bigger than he was. The moray would grab a hunk, tear it off, and then go back for more. Poor octopus hardly had anything left. I'll see if I can find it...

the octo seemed to kow to roll the shark on to it's back to put it in a catatonic state. I have actually read an article about that particular octo before and it stated that it had eaten several other sharks before the care takers stayed up all night with a video camera to find out what was going on.

Ok,

I would be scared for my life. Not to mention that of my 4 year old. That just totally creeped me out. I was thinking of making a small octo tank, but I don't think I can sleep now.

thats so cute... most octo people don't keep them that big, or sharks that small for that matter, either.

and an octo tank is AWESOME!!! just make sure you cover every square inch, otherwise it WOULD come try to visit ya in bed.

there was a college kid at a school near here who got attacked while feeding a captive octopus. they had a difficult time removing it from her arm. she needed hospitalization for nasty bites.
