I'd like to get a few things from them, maybe like 60 bucks worth of stuff.

Anyone else want to throw in so we can get the free shipping?

I've been thinking about an order, but you may be too far away.
I'm in the Youngstown area, but travel back and forth to Columbus.
Let me know if you think something could be worked out.

It's up to you guys, I don't have to host it, someone else can if they want.

Easiest way is just have it shipped to a middle location and everyone drives to get their stuff.

Pito,

I'm in Youngstown part of the week and in Columbus the other part.
I could pick up depending on delivery date.

Owned by the same people, but different products.
Live Aquaria is for livestock.
Dr. Fosters & Smith is for drygoods.

I know that. I just did'nt know if we could order live stock and hard goods in the same shipment as they have seperate websites.

agoutihead, What's up? You started this thing. Are we gonna order something or not?

I think there are more than enough people to put in an order, where should we have the big package sent?

I've never ordered from online before, so I don't know what the delivery system is like.

Is anyone familar with it? Do they deliver only on certain days at certain times?

When ordering livestock from Dr. F&S, the order is sent overnight delivery. It is only shipped on days such that it will arrive to you overnight. If I remember correctly, this means that orders will only be shipped Monday-->Thursday.

You must have it delivered to an actual person. If you can't be at home and sign for it, you should have it delivered to work. Basically, they want to make sure the livestock isn't sitting boiling to death on your front porch (or conversely, freezing to death in January).

I've ordered from them once and was quite pleased. There was a delay caused by the shipping company which resulted in my overnight order not making it to me for 2 days. As soon as Dr. F&S realized the order was delayed, they contacted me to notify me of the delay and to reassure me that if any organisms were struggling health-wise because of the delay that they would be replaced free of charge. Despite the delay, every single organism was alive and doing well. I did leave work early that day though to get my fish, snails, and other organisms (I got one of their algae-eaters "kits") in the tank that much earlier.

In summary, I would definitely consider ordering livestock from them in the future.
