well im in need of a little cleanup crew for my new tank....so im looking to spend somewhere btwn 50-60.....but to get free shipping i need to spend 100.......and im not looking to order a surplus just to make the free shipping

so, if someone out there needs something too, it'll be great to join up

also, im not looking to make this a group order since i'll be paying for it up front and my bank account doesnt look good enough to take charge of a group order...........but if someone else would like to make a group order out of this , and take control over it, i'll be all up for it

I'm interested, but don't have the funds this time to front one. I need some nassarius and maybe some astrea.... but I may not have the funds right off... AT LEAST until after Christmas, if not the middle of Jan. Not sure if thats too late or not.

We'll see how it pans out.

Anyone else interested?

sweet!......i'll be willing to take charge of it for the 4 of us ....so just let me know what you fellas want......im looking to make the order either at the end of this week...or early next week.......let me know when everyone will be free

Crap... can't do it before Christmas. :)

However, if you have any questions, feel free to let me know. CJ has done his share of orders, too. :)

sorry brandon....my sand looks like its been begging for some nass snails for quite some time now, so i dont really want to wait til mid-jan.....plus, the swap is around that time and i'll probably end up spending too much there, and wont have money for the critters...so its best if i go ahead with it now

anywho, i think ive just got done with my stuff....and right now im sitting at $65....so CJ, let me know what you need....and Ryan, if you're still in, let me know too......if both of you spend 30-40 bucks, we'll make the free shipping mark AND the free gift mark, which is 4 peppermint shrimp

you guys can reply here or pm me, which ever you want

Its all good, man. :)

I was going to order some more astrea and nassarius. :) I've just come to terms that snails are just going to die... and I'm just going to have to replace them once a year or so... Plus, I don't think you can have too many nassarius. ;)

Snails shouldn't die that easily unless something isn't proper. I have Astreas that I've had since the day I started my reef tank and that's been quite sometime ago, over 2 years close to 3.....Sometimes they die because of improper acclimation or something goes bad within your tank. Sometimes they get eaten by hermits, fell over and couldn't pick itself back up, etc.

By the way, I will do a reeftopia order around the beginning of the year if some of you prefer to wait til then.....:D

I'm not loosing them left and right, but they have been reduced in numbers, needless to say. Most of them have been just falling and then being eaten when I'm not there to flip them over. There have also been a couple of nassarius eaten by my hermits as well. Not too many... I've probably not lost more than 15 snails, I just don't like loosing them and prefer to keep my populations up. I'm very much considering getting rid of ALL of my hermits... or maybe I'll just ban them to the refugium. :)

I've had some astreas die from being dried out. I don't know what they're problem is but they like to climb right on top of cheatos where it meets the surface and don't crawl back into water, where they dry up and die. Even the turbos do the samething. I've been catching them early lately prior to drying up and dump'em back into the wet area.....

Yeah... I lost one to that. Most of the deaths have been falling in the sump (in places where I can't get to them... where they weren't SUPPOSED to go... but you know how it goes...) and falling in the tank upside down. Plus a few nassarius shells have been found... my guess is the hermits...

Yeah, I'm definitely up for an order a little later. :)

I agree with you on the hermits. In my tank I think they did more harm than good. Crawling over corals and irritating them, killing snails, etc.

What's the status fo the order? If you're not over the $100 mark yet, I can use some emerald crabs and a few other things probably go about $40.

luckyfish, that sounds good, just let me know exactly what you want and i'll put you on the order....i still havent heard back from ryan or cj yet....but i'll be more than happy to do it for the 4 of us

That's why I don't keep a lot of hermits, keep very minimum....I've watched them gang up on a snail once. Pulled it off the glass and all went for the kill (blue legged hermits). One of'em took it's shell afterwards.....I have a Zebra Hermit, it does a very good job cleaning but it moves stuffs around too much, the only reason he's still around is because he cleans so good......

I'm about to banish mine to the refugium. :)

I used to get upset when hermits would kill each other... but now I'm happy about it! :)

Actually, man, put me down for the blue zooanthid starter colony for $18. I can't pass that up. :) I'm afraid if I wait until next month, they may run out!
