In Memoriam
Well, for starters, there's a trio posted on Live Aquaria right now - http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?ddid=7554&siteid=20 (the link will work until someone purchases them). This is one of Renee's favorite fish and well, I've been looking for one more addition for one of the tanks....
I must admit I have VERY LITTLE familiarity with the species....it wasn't around when I was running shops and handling all sorts of marine life. I've seen them in shops now and again.
I'm PRETTY SURE we could keep a lone fish in one of our 24 gallon nanos...then again I've seen minimum suggested tanks sizes ranging from 30 gallons to 100 gallons. So what's realistic here? MOST literature I've read indicates that if you're going to keep 2 MALES you need the large tank....nothing really mentioned about housing them with females (i.e. as a trio) and well, how should one expect them to behave.
Also, are they jumpers?
And finally, what if anything do we know about spawning and eggs and larvae on these guys.
Probably gonna have to pass on the trio (have to fight the urge...my hands are PLENTY FULL), but someday....
