has anyone ever succesfully attached glass and acrylic and have it stay in place?

im trying to attach a acrylic overflow that im buliding to my glass tank

well what im going to try to do is use this stuff called mr stickys then use silicon all around it. im building my overflow in the inside of my tank so i can use beananimals silent overflow system

I built my overflow in my 75 gal glass tank using an acrylic overflow and used only silicon and it has held up fine. IMO no need to use the mr. stickys stuff.

ok. and also im going to use it in my sump that im gona make as a trial to go with it. the silicone will hold the 1/4" acrylic full of water with no problem

Mine is acrylic on acrylic, but it will work better on glass.

Mine has been running for a year now with no issues.

Just make sure you put a think (1/4") bead on each side.
