anything Comparable to tunze powerheads

I ordered a tunze 7095 multicontroller and 2 6000 powerheads and they are on back order for 6-8 weeks is there anything else that I should look into besides tunze so I can get them quicker.

Maybe a couple Vortechs, but the controller is what is going to make the Tunze setup so cool. If you can, I'd wait it out.

I'm happy with my korallia pumps, and also was very happy with the Seio I used prior to getting the Korallia's. Am also extremely happy with the money I saved going this route instead.

Yeah that is my problem I am not sure if I really am going to notice the difference between the tunze and a cheaper powerhead. I would just hate to buy a cheaper set then later want to upgrade to the tunze and it end up costin gme more money then I need

Pretty much says it all!

Nothing wrong with the other power heads, but if you think you might upgrade later, 6 weeks isn't that long of a wait.

would it be ok to cure live rock without powerheads in a new tank or is this a no no

You need some type of circulation or else you will end up with a foul smelling soup that you really don't want to deal with This could be provided by your return pump, or any other type of pump.

It wouldnt cure it. It would be sitting in dead nasty water. In turn making things worse. If this will be in your tank with a sump running then it would be ok because you will have moving water.

Back to your topic before I forget. I have Seio's and Koralia's. I think they are nice and helped me out saving some money. Down the road I will upgrade maybe 3 or 4 years but for now, with my budget and new mortgage payment, the cheaper pumps are working just fine for me.

Nothing cheap about those pumps, inexpensive compared to a Tunze yes, cheap...... no.
