Anything wrong with using this T5 fixture from Home Depot?

I would use ATI bulbs. And this is for a holding tank, so it wouldn't be long term.

I know they wouldn't be as bright as an ATI fixture without the active cooling. But I'm guessing the ballasts are similar. I can't see why this wouldn't work..

I dont see why not. Like you said...not a sunpower but should work fine over a holding tank.

Search grow lights. May have a supplies near you out in CA. Better reflectors and ballast are good in them. Can get same or more bulbs for less.

A friend has run that set up on his frag tank for years, absolutely no problem.

Went to home and found that I would need to buy a plug and wire it. Ended up spending $10 more on a sunlight supply fixture with plug and hanging kit included.
