I have the Nikon AW 100.

I actually does pretty good underwater coral macro shots. I have used the white balance on auto and seems pretty close in color.

However when I do say a full tank shot everything is washed out and bright white at best:

Here are a few random shots I have? Suggestions? It does have a way to "set/measure" for white balance, but if i use something white in the tank to set it, everything gets pretty "yellow", but not washed out....

Few tanks shots:

On the right side. The coral on top next to the orange cap. Its a ponape BN. Looks like a bleached coral. A little infront of that is a bright lime green granulosa. Again looks bleached ball Next to the ponape is a Chips(bluish) acro. White ball!

I know they will not be perfect, but should be better, I'd assume.

That's actually pretty good with a point and shoot. It will probably be difficult to get the fish in focus because they move fast. Have you tried a tripod? It also looks like your MH light is right above the ponape making it look washed out. I would experiment with settings and remember for every one good picture you'll have twenty not so good. Good luck.

Yea the MH's are pretty much centered over the islands. The fish a little blurry is not a big deal.

These are hand held, i can try a tripod assuming i can locate it!
