Actually, I'd prefer to use a very small powerhead instead so it's not connected to my return all the time. Any suggestions?
It has to be submersible and be able to go to air line tubing

Have you called any plumbing or hardware stores? I've never seen one at an LFS

It is easy enough to tap and insert an airline fitting into the return line.and certainly cheaper.

But wouldn't I have to turn off the return everytime I wanted to mess with it since it would be connected? Maybe I can tap into my phosban reactors.

I have been thinking about doing this to save the need for a microjet to feed my reactor and all you need is a barb connector, a threaded airline adapter and a shut off valve for airline, all easy to find stuff. When you want to take the feed off the return just shut the valve off. I will probably adapt mine to Quest fittings as this is what the reactor is plumbed with and shutoffs are at Lowes.

The Quest shutoff yes, the adapter not that I have found but I wasn't looking specifically for that pc...yet. Lowes will have the 3/4" barb connector and should have an 1/8" MPT to the 3/16 tubing. Tap, seal and plumb and it should work fine.

Huh, what, huh???

I have 2 phosban reactors running off a MJ1200. I was just going to put one of these in the phosban one since the carbon will need more flow. What are you talking about. Is the airline tubing 1/8"??? Do I put the quest valve on the airline tubing?

Wait, I think I might understand. I use 1/2" for my reactors. On the one for the phosban I'll use a barb on each end with a hole on the side (can't remember the name) take an adapter with a small barbed end for the airline tubing correct?

You can make it whatever size you need, all you are doing is putting a splice in the return and tapping a port in the splice.

The reactors come with valve's justin. I just use a simple barbed T then each reactor has a valve. I have the carbon opened wide and the phosban opened enough to get the phosban looking like it's simmering.
