AP24 questions

I am in progress setting up an Aquapod 24 gallon HQI 150. First off the tank is only just a tad over 20 gallons total volume. I don't know where they get 24 from. There are only 2 compartments behind the false wall. Is that normal. My friend has an AP12 and his has 4 compartments. In mine On one side is he overflow and on the other the return. I currently have both sponges that came with it stuffed down the overflow side. The back is also beveled in a way that the space before the dividider in the back is very narrow. I have a MaxiJet1200 with the intake screen on it attached to the back wall because I couldn't get the big suction cup frame to fit on the bottom back there. This takes up most of the other side. Before I knew I would only have 2 compartments and was thinking 4 I was planning on sponges in the first, live rock rubble in the second, cheato in the third, and the return in the fourth. Now with only two I am not sure what I can do. What do you do.

We just put our substrate in last night. Have the salinity adjusted. Planning live rock this weekend.

Thank you for your input.

David

The 24 normally comes with 2 chambers. Currently I run a mj1200 and thermo in the return side and filtration in the skim side. I've messed around with the types of filtration and currently I run some of the stock sponge plus floss plus carbon. In the bottom of the skim chamber I have some live rock rubble.

In the future I will be adding a submersible light and chaeto to the skim side as a mini-refugium.

Good luck!

Four chambers in the Nano. Sounds like someone "liberated" one of your chambers. That said, good luck David. :)
