Apex Alrm Help

Here is my program for the Alarm:

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If pH > 08.50 Then ON
If pH < 08.00 Then ON
If Temp > 81.0 Then ON
If ORP > 350 Then ON
If Power EB8_3 Off 000 Then ON
If Power Apex Off 000 Then ON


The issue I am having is I had a loss of power that lasted for about 30 seconds. I did not get a text or email saying that I lost power. I have texting and email set up correctly as I get other alarms for pH and such. Any one have any ideas what is wrong?

Im pretty sure Unless you have a ups on the apex, if there is no power it can't send out and email or txt. It will not be on to process the alarm.

There are far more experts here that can correct me if I'm wrong.

Change the if power statements from 000 to 001. That will keep the alarm active for one minute after power is restored, then you'll get the email.

I actually us 002 after my alarm. The assumption is that A power failure is whole house so it kicked my router and dsl modem off with it. It seems to take a little longer for everything to come back online. Otherwise your code looks good.

As already mentioned the Apex needs power to send the alerts. So assuming you are using a 12VDC adapter on a UPS, I have encountered an issue where the Apex will not recognized loss of power on the EB8. And that is with standard EB8 power monitoring enabled (rather than monitoring the adapter). I have reported it to Curt and he is looking into it.
