Apex base unit won't gain power

My Apex base unit light is completely off and can't get it to take power. Only the 'fallback on' equipment is working right now. Is there a trick to getting this working again?

The base draws power from the AquaBus; if the connection between the EB8 and base is connected then the base should power up. If not then there may be a problem with the base. Check your connections and if they appear correct email support@neptunesys.com as your unit may need to be repaired.

No lights, correct; not even Ethernet?

Correct there were no lights at all. Completely dead. And was plugged into the EB8 of which had a flashing green light on it. I even switched out the USB cord thinking that may have been the cause, but nothing.

It came back to life about an hour later and I don't think it has turned off again yet. I was proactive once it came back on and set my essential equipment to Fallback On (was surprised at how much I had 'off') and saved my configuration to a file just in case later.

I emailed Neptune so will see what they say.

Thanks

That's a good idea. I'm always surprised at how many people just set Fallback OFF, then when you have a problem all you have is a brick for an outlet strip. Dosers, ATO, reactors - those are all things you MUST have a controller of some sorts so OFF is appropriate but for for lots of other things like pumps, lights, power heads, chillers, heaters - ON is a better option.
