Apex Controller Setup

I have just received my apex yesterday and i spent some time setting it up last night. I got the outlets programmed and i can access the apex via website but i can't seem to program email and remote access.

I have windows vista on my home computer and i dont know how to do telnet on it.

Please advise. Thanks!

I don't think telnet comes loaded with Vista by default. Google it but you enable it through the control panel.

Post your email settings so someone can take a stab at where your problem might be.

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 465 (tried 24 and 567)
HTTP port: 80
DHCP: disabled

Gmail requires SSL or TLS encryption. The controllers do not support either one. You will need to use a different SMTP server. Your ISP's. Or set up a free GMX account.
