Apex / Early Radion G3 Pro compatability issues

I am trying to get my radions working with my Apex, I am tryint to follow the instructions from Apex

https://www.neptunesystems.com/getstarted/wxm/radionupdate/

I first ran into a Java (Windows 2) error, I managed to overcome that obstacle however now when I try to launch the connection manager program I get the following error

"Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported"

what do I need to do to get these radions working with my Apex as I keep hitting dead ends. I installed connection manager live and the Radions show firmware 1.7.6 but I believe i need to get to 1.7.8 (is this correct)? Is there a work around?

I am trying to do those instructions but when I get to #3.4 I can't install connection manager and get the error above. Connection manager must not be compatible with windows 10??

I had the same problem during a recent install I was helping a friend with. I think the version of connection manager the Neptune has on their website is no longer compatible (at least with Windows 10).

Try downloading the most recent version of the connection manager, then enable "easter eggs" in the connection manager. It will allow you to choose a custom revision of firmware (1.7.8) that the connection manager that is on the Neptune website did automatically. Alternatively, find a windows 7 computer.

I'm not sure if ETM wants the "easter eggs" enabling feature "public" knowledge. So I recommend contacting them directly or maybe they will even comment here on how to do that if they don't care.

If anyone else has this compatibility issue with Windows 10 related to the special version of Connection Manager, call ecosmart support they have a work around and were very helpful. I am up and running!

They used the latest connection manager (which when I tried wouldn't let me pick which FW file to upload, somehow they cracked into that and were able to link properly to the 1.7.8 FW file. They were "ghosted" into my PC and handled it on their end.
