Apex Question

If I get a EB4 Controller basically I don't need the head unit, correct? It has 4 outlets and temp probe. I can either access it through web or app, correct?

If I get a EB8 Controller basically does the same like the EB4 but WITHOUT the temp probe.

If I need more than 4 outlets but don't need to control LED and Esmart pump. which one is better off? 1 EB8 or 2 EB4? Or......... Do I realy need the base (head) unit?

Eb4 is not a controller, you are thinking of a apex jr. If you want a full apex you would need the head unit. The apex jr is limited to amount of modules you can add on to it. While the full apex does not really have much restrictions.

There are two differences between the Lite and full Apex. The full apex has two variable speed ports capable of running 4 controllable Tunze pumps, dimming 2 Kessel 360 lights or 4 controlable DIY LEDs. It also has a pH/ORP port useable as either pH or ORP.

The Lite is a separate controller just like the full Apex.

yup, I don't need the full at this moment. maybe i will add a vdm when i need those features.

Looks like Neptune is discontinuing the lite so get it while you can.
