Apex storm mode

I am looking at getting and Aqua illumination Sol setup and controlling it with the VDM. My question is does the Apex support the storm mode and what is the programing statement or do I need to purchase the AI control interface to make that happen?

I think this may help from neptune system. I don't have the AI Sol yet and I'm going to be upgrading to an Apex this summer so I'm doing research myself. Be interesting to see what you come up with.
