APEX Test Mode

I'm going to bump this since it's the first topic that comes up when I google "Apex test mode".
My wife is at home trying to fix our Apex unit, I guess the display says TEST MODE08 and the date/time is set to Dec 27 2008 6:21 AM. She said she tried restarting it, but sometimes the display just stays blank after 5 minutes, or it goes back into this test mode.
She's trying to call the Neptune support number but it's busy. I thought maybe someone here might know what's going on.
Edit: I guess she got through and they said the base unit is faulty. Need to send it back >_<

i got same thing as of right now, except mine says, TEST MODE53, hope its fixable, i will try to install the new firmware, and call neptune tomorrow.
Woke up this morning and saw my display module was frozen and was no longer able to connect from Aquanotes (iPhone) or directly via web server. I restarted everything and now the display module just says "Test Mode 97" and beeps and appears to be going through a series of test...flipping lights/pumps on/off. Is there a way to fix reset everything so I can load my savings from a saved config or does my unit need to be service.
