Apex trouble shooting (changed router to google router)

I have The newer Apex, swapped my router to help spread signal across the home. Since I'm no longer using the Spectrum router that I originally set the apex up with I'm unable to control it and Apex.local is not loading on any devices.

I reset it with a pin for 5 seconds but nothing is showing up to connect to. I'm about to perform the 20 second hold but do not want to lose all my settings so figured I would request a little assistance before doing so.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks a ton

Did your local subdomain change when you switched routers? I had that problem when I changed routers. I.e. from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1

I could reach my Apex at all. My solution was to go to my router and change the local subdomain back to the original.

I can't help with apex.local because that works sometimes for me and I never use it. However, why not change the new router to have the exact same settings as the old WiFi settings? This way only the new router needs to be changed and the rest of the equipments continue to work automatically.

That or the DNS or gateway.

This is why Neptune recommends DHCP

The google routers do not allow to change the gateway. I ended up using a NetGear Powerline adaptor and plugging into the ethernet and calling it a day. I’m not going to keep my tank offline for longer than I need to. The powerline runs just fine

What is the model of your "Google router"? It makes no sense if they lock the SSID and or the encryption method. I'm not sure what you meant by "change the gateway" here but oh well, you got it working so that is good
