Apex unit and what else?

I really would like to monitor and control my temp, monitor my ph and salinity with the Apex system I'm ordering. What heater would be best for this to work a long side the apex system? Also I would like to monitor salinity I know this function doesn't come with the main system what would I need to purchase to monitor this if possible? Also do I need to purchase the PH calibration solution or anything else to get this working and doing what I want it to?

Any heater will work. I always recommend one with an integral setting knob of its own, rather than one that requires an external controller, so that you have two sources of control, just in case one fails. I prefer Jaegers.

To monitor salinity, you need the PM2 expansion module, salinity probe, and salinity calibration solution. In order to use temperature compensation with the salinity module, you either need to also obtain a second temperature probe or move the temperature probe from the base Apex unit to the PM2. Either approach works. Personally, I like having the second probe, since they're relatively inexpensive and it provides a second source of temperature reading, again, just in case.
