I wanted to get an Apex system but heard that their wireless required Port Forwarding to make it work. Is that true?

My problem is that my Comcast modem/router combo couldn't setup port forwarding.

appreciated your inputs.

Apex Fusion is basically an entirely new interface that allows you to access your Apex from the cloud (aka the internet). The biggest benefit of this access is that you will no longer need to be a network engineer to access your Apex from outside your home network. That’s right, no more port forwarding, no more DynDNS, no more GMX for email.

So your good to get one!

yes you need to port forward but you should have that ability through the router as well. What model of router is it? also are you running any type of dns resolution software?

Fusion is still in beta. I would be very carefull if you are not technical to upgrade. Plus I believe you have to be at a certain rev of the current software before you can upgrade to the beta fusion OS.

I did the upgrade and love it email set up was just putting your email and number and it sends text auto when my power was off for like 5min.

I have been in the beta program for a while and it is now in open beta for anyone interested. It has been very stable for me throughout the entire beta, I am using the AWM with my Vegas. I hear there where issues with the WXM although I think they have a work around now. I also have a Kessil 360 which is still supported through profiles just like the traditional firmware, BRS started a rumor that the new Apex Fusion Kessil control screen was due out soon though.
