Apex with Autotopoff controller - or - JBJ ATO

Well, I purchased my Reservior jug, mechanical float switch, electrical float switch and solenoid (along with my apex as a timer) to keep my Reservoir filled and with plenty of backup.


For the ATO, should I just get an autotopoff.com controller (Dual float, with low voltage upgrade) and use my Apex as a timer, or should I get a seperate ATO? I was looking at the JBJ alot in this forum... Ie autotopoff.com stuff is only about 20 bucks less than the JBJ...

The autotopoff equipment works great and reliably, and using the Apex would work fine as well.

What I keep on planning to do on mine is to continue to use the autotopoff dual switch setup, but plug it into the Apex. I will add a third float connected to the APex as redundancy for the main top off setup. Can never have enough safeguards .

Thats pretty much what I was planning... I also am adding the autoshutoff for the RO unit. The one with the leak sensors that shuts iff and alarms when it gets tripped... However. Some have mentioned outlet issues with the apex and low current devices... Yes, I know toy use 4 or 8, but I was considering just as fallback to use a different system. But the dual switch controller on an apex outlet means you would need two failures...

I know its expensive..but the tunze osmolater has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. Literally bulletproof..I have never had a problem with this unit. Keeps my water level dead stable

Yea, the $199 controller is not an option... The only thing I dont like anout the $79 JBJ is the snail guards... If I need to replace those, I may as well go with something else...
