Apex - Yellow Blinking Light on EB8

I just purchased a Apex from Neptune systems, and I am trying to configure the EB8, but noticed the light on the EB8 has a yellow blinking light. It states it is in boot loader mode and has not been configured by the Apuacontroller. I have tried to configure one outlet to get the feel to how to do the config, but so far no luck. I have an air pump plugged into the #2 outlet on the EB8 and cant seem to be able to turn it on or off. Any help would be appreciated.

Well from what I can tell I am logged into the interface. I have set an IP to what I think is the interface unless I have two set two IPs. But I am able to log into the interface and see the "Status, Graphs, Data Log, Season Table, Configuration, and XML" at the top of the login screen.

I did do a fireware update lastnight as I figured it would be better to go ahead and put in the newest firmware before I got started on the programming. To also make sure I got rid of any known bugs. So no sure if this has caused a problem, or if its something I am not doing...

Ok, then go to the Configuration tab, and select Module Setup.

Do you see an EB8 listed there at the bottom?

No, I have the following under configuration:
* Display Setup
* Outlet Setup
* Profile Setup
* Probe Setup
* Module Setup
* Clock Setup
* Network Setup
* Load/Save

So being I do not have an EB8 Listed how can I get it to show up, or is it a problem with the unit I've received?

Oh, Sorry... DUH! I do have and EB8 in the Apex Modue List.

Info:
HW Rev - 001
SW Rev - (009) OK
Addr - 003
Name - EB8_3

The Display Module is:
HW Rev - 001
SW Rev - (009) OK
Addr - 001
Name - Disp_1

Yes, I updated the info for the EB8 and the display above. Sorry after I typed the first post I figured you would need it so I added it to the post.

On the Outlet Setup page, you should see some options under Outlet selection that have (3_1), (3_2), all the way up to (3_8) after them.

Are they there?

Those are your outlets on the EB8, numbered 1-8, at Address 3 on the bus (if you notice above you posted that your EB8 was at Address 3).

So your outlets are present, and your firmware is up to date.

Does your headunit/screen look like it is working? What color are the LEDs on the Apex base and the EB8?

Well thats what I figured was the actual outlets. But when I try to hook a pump to one of the outlets and turn it on or off, or set it to be on from for example 05:00 to 12:00 it wont turn on or off, depending on how I've set the program. So this was the reason I started looking at the status light. And with it being a yellow blinking light I was concerned that something might be wrong, either with the unit I got, or with something I've either done, or not done. So is the reason for my post.

The lights on the bottom of the Aquacontroller are yellow. (Solid) the lights for v1/v2 and v3/v4 are blinking on the Aquacontroller. The Status light on the EB8 is still blinking yellow.

Not the lights on the bottom of the base, the light on the face of it. The yellow one on the bottom you are talking about is the one by the network cable connection correct? I am asking about the single LED on the face of the unit next to where it says "Aquacontroller Apex".

I am going to assume that one is green, because the system is up and running. The one on the EB8 not being green is a problem I think though.

Are you sure the cable that connects the base to the EB8 is connected firmly?

So being that the light isnt green on the EB8, is this a problem I need to contact Neptune Systems about?

Does it matter which USB port I plug the cable into on the EB8?

Not sure yet, we can try some more stuff.

No, it doesn't.

From the Headunit...

Press the center button to get to the Main Menu.

Go down to 'System' and select that by pressing the center button.

Press Up once, and you should see 'Init Memory', select that.

Now select 'Init AquaBus Dev'.

That should initialize the Aquabus, do that and tell me if the light on the EB8 changes color.
