Aplan of action to get rid of ich. Practical?

I have a 160 gal with now only two fish, a moon warse about 5" and a large sailfin tang. I also have about 6 nice sea urchins and a bunch of snails and even an abalone. My cowfish longhorn, about 4 inches, died last week from ich.

So, I was trying to figure out the most practical way to deal with the ich (besides going over to freshwater!!!).

Would it make sense to take out the two fish and then let the tank sit (with the urchins, snails and albalone), for say some 6-8 weeks? And then if what I read in the literature is correct, I can then reintroduce fish to the tank.

Yes as long as you treat the fish you take out either with hypo or copper.I would keep the display tank fallow for 8 weeks just to be sure.
