I just picked up my 180 yesterday, and set it on my stand (I built it). I got the tank leveled on the stand, but the top deck of the stand isnt quite flat. There seems to be a high spot in the middle, and its around 1mm low on one end, and about 2mm low on the other end. I'm just trying to weigh my options here, given the weight the tank will be once full.
I'm thinking 1 of 2 things...
Ordering some sheets of .040" plastic and shimming the ends of the tank so it rests flush like it should, or cutting a ring of 1/4 or 1/2" blue insulation foam (the tank is glass) and resting the bottom frame (including the 2 cross braces under the center) of the tank on it so that it takes up the difference.
I've never dealt with a tank on this scale before so I could use some insight on which would be better. I somehow dont think I want the bottom of the tank arching under the weight of the contents.
Thanks.
