Hey everyone, I just wanted to make an official thread for the upcoming meeting. It is going to be a Darin's house this time. He lives in York, down near the hospitals. We haven't decided on an agenda or anything yet. I guess the time will be around the same as the last one, around noon or 1, whatever is good for Darin. Hope some of you can make it. If anyone needs anything or suggest some topics to discuss, post it here or PM me.
Matt

I was planning on 1:00pm if that works for everyone. It'll last until whenever. We can hang out in the basement and watch BluePlanet in the background, and if the weather permits cook some food on the grill.

What's the secret handshake or knock? Seriously, that sounds great, I will have to check my calendar. What have you guys/gals talked about at previous meetings? How many usually attend such things? Thanks.

1) The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club.
2) The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO NOT talk about Fight Club!

:D

Seriously we just have random convo's about our own tanks, things that are working out good or not-so-good, etc. There's usually a bit of frag swapping going on too if someone has extra, but nothing really formal. Seems like about 10 or so of us show up, but I missed the first meet at Bobby's place. :(

Cool. Seeing the "Free Xenia" thread and the frag swapping, is exciting. I however, don't really have much to offer at this point either in frags or advice. It'll be nice to hear from some local experts who can give advice to someone like me and help me get by my mistakes or avoid them. One thing that comes to mind that I would be interested in is learning/hearing about how you guys propagate your corals, good corals for beginners, etc. Thanks.

That is no problem, a good many members are in the same boat as far as trading at this point. All we ask as a club member is that you actively participate with the group, through posting in our threads and attending out group get togethers, helping others when we can with advice, time, equipment, etc., we just don't want people just showing up for free stuff and that is it, seeing how there is no fees involved, I think this is a totally fair expectation of the group. I really just like having people to give some of my overgrowth to, rather than toss it. I'm sure we can get into talking about coral propagation and such, it really is very simple for most of them. I will say that I don't really do many softies(mushrooms, leathers, etc.) or LPS(Large Polyp Stonies, hammers, bubbles, brains, etc.) anymore, but have kept them for years previously, I mainly concentrate on SPS(Small Polyp Stonies), like Acropora, Montipora, Stylophora, Seriatopora, etc., so that is what I usually have to offer as far as trading or giveaways. Hope to see you at Darin's place, my house is always open to members of the club, just PM me and I'll give you my address and number if you want to ever stop down my way.
Matt

It'd be nice if someone could put together a spreadsheet or something that listed what corals everyone has, so when we go to buy things we can add to the groups collection.

*cough*we have 2 application people in the group *cough*

Sadly I'm going to have to miss this one. My dad's band is playing at the Lititz Public Library at 1:30 that day. My sister started playing with them reciently, and I haven't seen them yet, so that's where I'll be. If there are any frags that aren't taken at the end, give them to Matt or Bobby, and I'll pick them up shortly after. I just set up my frag tank (thanks Billy for the drilling help), and it's a little bare right now:)
Hope it goes well. Looking forward to meeting in May.

I'll try and work on that for us Bill, I can't I'd all my Acro's 100%, it is hard for me to remember what I have, I am such a braindead when it comes to that, and other things too I guess. I'll get on it, I've been sitting around thinking about things to do. Talk to you guys soon.

Hey Matt let me know if you know anyone who had A. Turaki at all im trying to find a frag of some. So when your going through your Acros let me know if you have a piece. I have some many Acros but found i dont have one of these. Thanks man.

Volcom(sorry man I forgot your name again, I am very bad with that sometimes), I am pretty sure no A. turaki, that one is on my list to get, along with probably 50 others, can you ever have enough? I do have a USF(unidentified small frag) of a "deepwater", could be turaki, I'll have to wait and see as it grows up. Talk to you soon.

Yea if i can i would love to try to get Mako J turaki, but at this point im just tryin to find anything. Yea there is plenty of frags i want, but right now the turaki is on the top of my list.

This sounds much more like a data store, looks like that's up your and Monk's alley! :D

I don't do GUIs, code monkey. :p

I got it guys, but this list is going to be huge, I have to list all corals, plus all the LE "named" stuff. It probably will have 1000 or more entries, so it will be a little while till I get it all done. What I would like from all of you is a list of what you have in your tanks, as far as coral goes, no fish or other inverts right now. Talk to you guys soon.

Isn't that what MS Access is for? :D

Only on your end of the building...

Alright trollz, how about them coral lists? Just kidding, get them to me whenever, I am still designing the list and adding the couple hundred(thousand) different corals, so I'll be doing that for awhile. Have a good day guys.

Matt

I am not sure of the names/types of corals I have. I have an idea/guess as to what they are. Could I post some pictures and have you guys/gals help me out with identification as well as enter them in the SRC Master Database?
