I am excited to announce that Tony Griffitts, formerly of AquaWorld Aquarium and the author of many excellent articles at the online magazine, http://www.aquaworldaquarium.com/ will be speaking at this months meeting. His topic will be water quality with emphasis on Nitrates. If you have any questions on how all this water quality stuff works, this meeting is for you.

Great timing for the topic. I have been battling high nitrate since the last meeting. I been doing A LOT of water changes - going though 2 buckets since the last meeting. Now I am thinking about how I can do a remote deep sandbed (RDSB).

Hey Minh, I have been thinking of doing the same thing... just on a bigger scale. Same problem - all tests are within realms, except the nitrates which are regularly 15-20. Too many water changes and I stress the system, Ack!
