April MTRC Meeting

Hi, All!

The April meeting will be held on Sunday, April 13 at Emerald Bay!

I am working with Sean on the events for the day, but there possibly may be an out of town speaker for the meeting, as well as a possibility of doing a live rock group buy for the meeting. More details will follow later. The meeting will take place after they close (they close at 5pm on Sundays), and we may follow the meeting with folks meeting at Cancun to share dinner and hang out.

Don't let being a newbie get in the way. There are lots of nice folks in the club, and we try to do whatever we can to help folks out. There will certainly be a wealth of knowledge at the meeting, so don't hesitate to ask plenty of questions.

Live Rock Group Buy

Details on the Live Rock group buy and the IO Salt.

IO Salt will be $37.99 a box.

Live rock will be a little tricky because of the variability of what they might be able to get. Sean will order a bunch and below is how it will be priced (he may not be able to get all types). This is for MTRC members and only for our meeting on April 13.

Branching Tonga 3.99/lb
Tonga Slab, Specialty Tong & Tonga Fusion 4.59/lb
Indonesian 4.95/lb
Pukani 5.79/lb

All prices are before tax. Sean said he'll have some cleanup crew stuff and some nice clams and corals for the meeting as well.

Personally, I'm planning to get around 30-40 lbs of rock. From the posts above it appears we have demand for around 10 boxes of salt. Go ahead and post if you want any rock (again the type may vary). If you want salt and haven't posted already, post that as well

Also, we'll have a spot reserved at Cancun's like we did last year. We'll probably do the meeting from ~5:15 - 7:00 pm and then head over to Cancun's for dinner (for those of you who want to stick around). So please post for the following:

1) Dinner -- do you plan to hang out for dinner after the meeting?
2) Live Rock -- do you want to reserve any Live Rock?
3) IO Salt -- do you want any IO salt, and how many boxes?
