aptasia on clam

There must have been a couple aptasia that came in on a clam that I bought from a fellow reefer tank breakdown i was wondering what would be the best way to eradicate it. I am not sure if its wise to pull the clam out and just pull the 2 off or you a kalk paste which seems to me would be a harder method since its a 24 inch hig tank and the clam is in the sand bed. Any insight would be helpful

I had to deal with aiptasia on the clam (see the link below).
LA representative said that it’s OK to pull the clam out of water for a minute or two to use kalk. That’s what I did and it worked perfectly. Just be careful not drop kalk on mantle.

I see you running MH lights â€"œ be careful. When I pulled my calm out of water it squirted some water and barely missed my bulb :eek2:.

very true I didn't even think about that I may try to grab it out before the lights go on that is a good call
