Aptasia Removal

Kalk mixed with water, making a thickish pastey liquid. Stick them with a syringe and pull the trigger, just dont go over board.

I've had mixed results with Apt X.. better results with Joes. It could have been how I applied the Apt X though because it definitely melted some of them down to nothing. Others seemed to wither than I ended up with many more :( I really like the applicator for Apt X however.

Have had good luck with Berghias (sp).

So so luck with Peps.

Some folks report good success with white vinegar though you have to be careful not to use too much of that and actually inject it into the nem.

CB butterflies work well, but can be problematic to keep long term.

Hi there!
I'm battling the bastards as well. DON'T glue them or past any cement or anything onto them. The little devils, will just find another way out. Believe me! Joes Juice, Aptasia X, boiling water, or a banner fish as already mentioned. A Chelmon is a hit or miss issue. I wouldn't get one anymore, sure there habe been successful people keeping them. But I kind of feel sorry for the Chelmons, because they are pretty difficult to keep (and are really beautiful fish!!!). Peppermints are also a hit or miss issue. Just make sure your tank is big enough for a banner, they get big, real big!
Good luck!

Great to hear that sikk50!
I'd just love to have a fish that would eat Aptasia 100% and eats frost food as well and doesn't get too big, doesn't go carpet surfing etc. etc.... What a dream...

I used a syringe filled with white vinegar.
Kills fast and works so well you'll be looking forward to spotting
Another one.
Try this.hardest part may be getting the
Needles .

Aiptasia X is really good its zapped all mine and they havent come back

Same here!

you can get the syringes and blunt tip needles at HD or Lowes near the glue.

I use boiling water - 100% effective, and adds nothing to the tank whatsoever, with no fears of collateral damage

its fun to inject them with lemon juice! It's become a bit of a past time for me. Some are resiliant and only "shrivel up" and turn brownish purple. But just keep pumping em with lemon juice. they eventually die.
