Aptasia Removal!!

I combined the Aptasia paste + syringe method and 2 peppermints. Out teamwork seems to have taken care of them after a week. When I started, I didnt have the shrimp. Seems they are more persistent than I am.

I just picked up a couple of peppermints and will try the boiling water. I burned a few off earlier, from the rock that I could get out of the tank. Glad you asked the question today, because I really getting a lot of use from this one. Thanks everyone,

My tank has been take over by completely taken over by aptasia. I am fairly new to the hobby so I guess I let them go a little to long before trying to do anything about them. So when I did it was already to late. I have them in my canister filter, on every single rock, the glass and even in the skimmer! I mean it is out of control. I bought to peppermint shrimp, they don't seem to be having an effect. I didn't really expect them to get the upper hand with so many of them anyways. Guy at aquarium shop told me the my only option is to boil all my rocks and start over again. Problem is alot of my rocks have stuff that I don't want to boil. But I guess I don't really have much of a choice now do I? So my question is will I have cycle the tank after I boil all the rocks that I can? I am just going to let my filter and skimmer dry out for a week or something. That should kill all of them in thier shouldn't it? I will just try to keep on top of the ones that I can't boil away. Also are the butterfly fish reef safe? I have alot of corrals that I don't want them to eat. So if I go and buy one of those will it eat all of my corals or just the aptasia? Is a 40 gallon tank to small for this kind of fish. I really want to get rid of these things because my tank used to be beautiful before this happened. Now it looks horrible. Please help me!
