Aptasia

a syringe full of vinigar or joes juice inject directly into the aptaisa with the vinigar im not sure about the joes juice but hear a million people talk about it, ive had good sucess with copper band butterflys and peppermint shrimp

Copper Banded Butterflys work very well to clear them almost all the way out. The problem with this is there is almost always some small 1 left in some crevice of a rock and the butterfly starves to death and they come right back. The hard thing to do is get the butterfly to eat something you can feed regularly and not starve before the aptasia is gone.

The best method I found so far are these guys. Its natrual, cool and safe. It is Burghia Nudhibranch. They only eat Aptasia and multiply quickly. They get in all the cracks. When its gone, they die. I always add a few rocks with Aptasia to keep them going.

Peppermint shrimp worked for me. You need a group of shrimp & they'll only eat the small ones. So use Aiptasia-X or Joe's Juice to zap the big ones and then they will take care of anything else that pops up. They'll eat normal fish food if there's no aiptasia so they are a long term purchase.

You can try fresh squeezed lemon juice and draw it up in a syringe with a needle. then, as it grabs on to the needle aim for its mouth and shoot. so far it has worked for me and a few buddies. plus, its a cheap route.

+1 the lemon juice syringe has worked for me also!
cheap and effective.

haha, the absolute best and easiest way is paulb's majano wand, fries them with chlorine gas with the press of a button, i just borrowed one and its amazing...

IME all of the chemicals are a waste of time and if you have a real problem they only make it worse. The chemicals may be effective to treat a few.

I used a matted file fish and that little guy saved my infested 120. I find an occasional bite mark on an acan here and there but no other damage noticible on any other sps, lps, or softies.

I tried all the injectable stuff and it all was ineffective. Adding two peppermint shrimp did the trick...I was skeptical, but those guys went to town...I had had aiptasia for 6 years and the peppermints wiped them out in less than 6 weeks....maybe i got lucky, as I think Peppermints are hit or miss, but I love them..
