My aquacontroller has been working fine but today I cannot access it through Aquanotes or through the website I have setup.

When connecting through Aquanotes I get a message saying "Aquacontroller not responding, Connecting Connection Failed Check Site name, IP Address, and Internet connection."

My internet at home is working fine but the light that usually blicks on the AQIII isnt blicking anymore.

This is a wireless setup just so you know.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to power cycle the controller? ie unplug it, let it sit for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

Yes, I tried that.

I also cant access the AQIII through the dedicated website I set up either.

Its like the internet function isnt working.

Hmm my AC3 stops blinking when I turn off the wireless ethernet bridge. Is there a way you can run a cat5 cable from your comp to the AC3? or check to make sure your bridge is working properly? (it might need a power cycle too. I had hubs that needed a power cycle every so often).

I could try running a cable from my computer to the AQIII but what will that accomplish? See if I have a bad connection somewhere?

I did a power cycle on the wireless router and cable modem as well.

If the ACIII works on a cat5 wire to your computer or router, then the problem is the bridge. I had the same thing happen to me and it was the wireless bridge went kaput. So, I would try the direct wire conenction to see if you can isolate the problem to the bridge.

Ok, went downstairs, unplugged my ethernet cable from my wireless router, plugged into the back of my laptop, opened Aquanotes and still cannot connect to the AQIII.

Any other ideas?

Did you try manually reviewing the network settings on the ACIII? I had to re-enter mine once. Also make sure there is an entry for the gateway. I think there is an option to restart the network, so try that after you have checked the settings.

Hope this helps.

wfgworks,

Make sure your gateway entries match (on both the computer and the ACIII).

Also make sure the ACIII's IP address is not one that is allready on your network.

Realize that ANY changes to the ACIII network setup won't take affect to you restart the ACIII.

Well, everything is set the way it should be. Hit the restart button with no luck.

I just think its werid. My AQIII has been working perfect for 5 months and one day I can no longer access it.

Well, I fixed it.

Something must have happened in my network settings and it screwed everything up, so I went back and reset my home network and AQIII.

I think computers have a mind of their own sometimes.

btw, wfgworks, I don't think using a standard network cable between the ACIII and your laptop would ever work. Normal cables require a router/bridge/switch to operate. There is a special cable for direct connect, that switches two wires, similar to a null modem cable vs a standard RS232 cable.
