Aqua C nano skimmer

Hi,

This is the first time I've heard about it. DId you here from the manufacture or ? I'll send them a message and see what they have cooking.

Hi CJ,

HOpefully i'll hear back from them tomorrow. What size tank do you have? If you can fit a full size remora, they work great on nano's. Cory here at Premium has a 7 gallon mini bow on his desk and he put a Remora with maxijet on there and it's done really well. Got rid of his hair algae problem in less then one week and all corals look really good.

thanks

I have a 15g nano. I am having to clean off the glass 2-3 times daily, because of the disgusting red/orange algea that forms on it.

I have an AC500 on the back of the tank, which is only 20" long. So I dont think that the remora, or CPR bakpak would fit.

Hi,

Sounds like you have some slime algae. Skimmer can help, might try some high grade carbon too, or purigen. There are some chemicals that can help, but only as a last resort. I've used them before without any problems, but better to not use a chemical if possible.

Aquac send us a message back and said they are making that item, but no ETA because of there current overload on supply/demand now. So I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.

thanks

Most cases, having more skimming will help rid of the slime. NOt aways though, sometimes you can do everything right and still have slime.
