aqua c remora/cleaning

I cant seem to find the book it came with to find out how to clean this thing. Can someone shoot me an answer? I thing i remember something to do with that white screw but i figured id ask before i break something

ya, got the same one. just unscrew that white screw and use the little bottlebrush it came with to scrub out the hole and in that area. there's not a whole lot to it. mine wasn't even dirty and it had been running for 2 months.

dont' lose the screw though!

Alright cool deal thats all there is to clean just that hole? Sounds easy enough. Wonder if i can do it while its still running or if i have to take it off the tank.

I clean mine by removing the screw, and turning it back on with the collection cup in it. The water blows out that hole pulling any crud with it.

Ive got an urchin though, and its in the sump. I dont guess you could do that with the hang on remora without making a mess.

Make sure its turned off. You will make a huge mess otherwise.

be careful putting the screw back in. You don't want to tighten it to much.

Also if you have an older model it may be really hard to remove the screw since it absorbs water. Call or email aqua c and they will send you a new screw that doesn't have the that problem.
