Aqua C Remora Nano Owners, Please post your reviews

I actually have the regular remora on my 45 and it does a great job. I use the nano for my 10 ga tank and it just barely fits. Well actually it don't fit but I placed my heater inside of the remora and it gave me just enough room.

My nano remora came in the mail yesterday and I set it up last night. It has been running 24 hours now and there's much more flow through it than the prizm skimmer I had on this 10 gallon. No micro-bubbles so far. Haven't tried the paper towel mod yet.

The one thing I didn't do was to wash it in warm water to get the oil residue left on it from the manufacturer like the instructions say. I was in too much of a hurry to get it going.

I did the same thing didnt wash it out but it worked fine I recently changed tanks from a AP24 to a TruVu25 and coulnt get the remora nano to fit so im using a red sea air lift 60 which works great for a airstone skimmer. I selling the Remora Nano if anyone is interested just pm me and i will give you the details only used for like a month

Another thing the n. remora does that the prizm didn't: the cup can't overflow.

I put some slime coat in the water and was worried that the cup would overfill because the stuff produces a lot of foam in the skimmer. I looked several hours later and full cup, no overflow!

Using the nano remora on a 20L and it worked right out of the box. It's been quit and efficient, not sure what all fuss about paper towels is about :)

3 weeks of skimming now, broke in. Have to empty the cup every other day. I cut up a piece of 50 micron filter pad, folded it up and used it in place of the paper towel for the paper towel mod. works great! Now working to hang the nanoremora off my sump.

This is an expensive skimmer but its the best I've owned. I'm glad I got the nano version--it's powerful enough and still hangs off my sump.
