Aqua C Skimmer Efficiency

I've had a AquaC EV-180 skimmer running on my system for about 3-4 months now and have been pretty impressed with its efficiency. I had noticed in the last week or so though that it wasn't doing as well, I couldn't really figure out what the problem was. Well, tonight I found it. The collection cup has a drain to which I have attached a hose that runs down to a gallon jug which is of course the waste collector. That hose was nearly completely clogged. Cleaned it out and now the skimmer is working great again. Hope maybe this will help you guys out, and maybe not have the same problem.

I have a ev 240 Its nice I replaced the 3/4'' injector with a 1'' and that increased its proformance dramiticaly. Its cheap to

No, it wasn't full, just the drain hose being stopped up was causing the problem. I took it off, cleaned it out, and presto - skimmer works as good as ever.

i never had much luck with the ev 180 i had. i like my euroreef so much better.
