Aqua Illumination power supplies

Is anybody using non standard power supplies (laptop) for there AI leds, as the standard ones are a pain for giving up and are not cheap.

Provided you use one with the same voltage rating and equal to or greater than the current rating you will be fine using aftermarket power supplies..

I bought one off eBay for 12 bucks. It works fine but the low voltage cord out of pack is 3' instead of the 6 or whatever the AI one is.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking 36v but 3A instead of 2.5A.
