So this morning I got up extra early to do a water change before work have had bucket going for a week waiting for me to do it. Anyways I bump my hob filter cleaning it and my rocks fell.So I am getting tired of knocking them over so is any body free some time Sunday that is good at scaping I got the puddy stuff to lock stuff in I just suck a scaping. I'll provide beer and snacks or lunch let me know

If my house was big enough I would be more then happy but I can hold less then 1/2 of what was at aquanuts house

You have a HOB filter? For carbon? Or?

As for your rock situation, how much rock do you currently have, and can you just build a structure outside your tank and then put it in.

You can use "new rock" and do all fancy structure, much better than doing it IN TANK.
(of course, then you'll have to move all your corals to the new rock)... ^_^

As for hob filter is only for carbon, phosban and it has a bio wheel no filter pads in it. I have about 34 lbs of rock in a 30 gallon tank none of the corals are attached yet. So its not a problem to move them. I was planning on pulling all the rock out and building a complete structure but not sure how much time I have with the rock out of the water before die off starts.

I don't think I'm great at aqauscaping but am willing to lend a hand.

Are you drilling and putting in rods? I have a drill and bit if you need it.

Do the drill and rods. Putty is permanent and as discussed by Tom (northbayreefer) you can removed 'pinned' rocks out in pieces to treat. Epoxied rocks are harder/impossible.

Inevitably, you will get pests in this hobby. And you'll want a way to treat the small removable chunks of rock. Whether it be red bugs, planaria, SPS rtn /stn or to trim corals and zoas...

All reasons to make removable.

So I was not going to make 1 large rock structure, I was going to epoxy 3 smaller ones but fit them together like one big piece but only epoxy certain spots

When I fix my scape I drilled the rocks and attached them with JB waterweld. I can get away with less putty and that way if I absolutely must it I'd possible to get them apart.

Jb water weld can be found at home Depot or Lowes. Basically it is the plumbers epoxy. It is white though so will look noticeable until coralline algae grows over ut

What he said.

It is noticeable but if you can live with it until it ages it is much cheaper then the stuff made for aquariums.

Oh, if you ever use silicon, remember to buy stuff that does not have albacore, mildew resistant additives.
GE silicone I is Ok to use. Not GE siliconeII
