Aquac externally from sump?

Just curious if anyone is using any of the EV AquaC skimmers externally from their sump. I have a 180 and am considering using it this way to save a little space under my stand.

You can but you may have to upgrade the pump some to make up for the extra resistance/head preasure. I run mine externally just its right next to the sump.
